Most of you may know that cooking isn't one of my favorite things. I do like to bake though. I made a few projects for today's challenge and my first is a "Cake Box" using a template you can find HERE. (It's under the freebies section....The Cookie Box) The cake mix inside is a single serving and can be made right inside your microwave in a mug. My kids and I have done this before. We have a whole Mason Jar full of the mix and it's perfect for those days when you just NEED a little sweet treat. Isn't this a great idea to give to someone who lives alone? It's the perfect size, right? I love this idea. The recipe is here for your enjoyment.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Unity It's Your Day
Ink: Pink Smooch
Paper: Neenah White, Nana's Kitchen, Tissue
Other: Scalloped border punch, Brads, Buttons, Nestabilities, Flower, Copic, RV14, RV19, crinkle ribbon, tag, sewing machine, glassine bag, embroidery floss
I made my own flower using a Big Scalloped Nestie and tissue paper.
****Here's my tip: I colored my crinkle ribbon, trim and flowers on BOTH projects with Copics. Copics are fabulous for taking anything and making it match by coloring it. Make sure you take advantage of the HUGE COPIC PREORDER SALE over at DCRU

Here is my second project. You can find the template for this door hanger at the same link as the project above under Freebies.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Unity KOTM. Great Friend
Ink: Memento black
Paper: Blue Prism, Nana's Kitchen, Neenah White
Other: Trim, Copics, B-91,93,97, R-11,22, YG-0000, 67, sewing machine, crinkle ribbon, flower, brads, dimensional tape, rhinestones, corner rounder, tag, circle nestabilities
I made a scalloped circle layer for my main image by using a corner rounder on the next size up circle nestabilites. I also used my corner round to create the scallop on the tag.
This idea stemmed from me being sick this week. I thought this door hanger would be a great way to take something to a sick friend. You wouldn't even have to bother them. Just hang it on the doorknob, ring the bell and leave....LOL
Wouldn't this also make a great Halloween treat holder for special friends and neighbors. You could use this great Halloween Paper by Echo Park.
Oh the ideas! DCRU has so many wonderful things for sale from CHA. Don't miss out. Head over now and place your order. Shipping is a bit longer right now so all orders will be held if placed this week. That gives you a whole week to decide all the great things you want.
Hope you can join in the challenge and introduce us to some "yummy food stuff:)"

What great projects Nikki. Thanks for the heads up on the Copic sale. Hope I can take advantage of it.
Sorry I haven't been to visit for a while. Wow you have been creating some wonderful things. Love the door hanger and the bagalope especially. Love the pictures of your dogs. So cute but poor Molly looks like she could use a little lovin', give her a scratch on the tummy for me. :)
Blessings Bernie
