Oh my! I love this set from SU called Trendy Trees. I just earned it for free and I'm so happy about it. One word of advice though....you NEED a stamp-a-ma=jig with this set. They should really consider just selling them as a set. I think it's almost impossible to stamp these trees without one. But, the results are so great. I made this card for the sketch on Card Positioning Systems blog. I really love how this turned out. Can't wait to play with Trendy Trees again.
I used some trim that I got on clearance at Joann's. I love the rugged feel of this card. I also used my new Labels 4 Nestabilities. I have been oogling over that for many months. I stamped my sentiment first, cut it out and then sponged the inside before removing it from the die. I also tucked the bottom of the cut out under the trim and then used dimensionals on the top so it would stand out a bit more. Here is the recipe:
Stamps: Because of You (Verve), Trendy Trees and Sanded (SU)
Ink: Baja Breeze, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, Basic Brown,
Paper: Kraft, Vanilla, Baja Breeze
Other: Labels 4 Nesties, Trim, Sponge, Vintage Brads, Choc Chip Marker, Stamp-a-ma-jig
Thanks for checking in today. My posting over the next week will be very sporadic. So busy here lately. I hope you have a great day!

I love this card. The color combination is stunning! Congrats on your free stamps...you only have to buy the accessories don't you?! You lucky thing!
I love this card! And I love this set, too! It's so fun! Really like the colors you chose here.
those colors are lovely! i love my trendy trees, too, and you're so right about needing the stamp-a-ma-jig to make them just so. (the s-a-m-j also helps when you've mounted your sentiments crookedly...not something you've ever done but i certainly have!) i hear you about busy busy. can't wait to have time to card and craft again soon!
"A" for ADORABLE! What a darling card! Good to know about the stamp-a-ma-jig! You did an expert job: it looks PRINTED! Excellent!
Oh I love this one! Great images and the colors are gorgeous! Hugs, Carly
