Hugs and Kisses....Love You


Again, a quick post. I am extremely busy with volunteer work and have less and less time to stamp. Fortunately I was able to finish this card this morning before the kids got up. My posting will be very sporadic over the next few weeks. We have a giant fundraiser this weekend to get through. I hope to have more crafting time next week. Cross your finger for me ok?

This is for a sketch by Card Positioning Systems. They have some cute samples to spark your imagination. Also a cool giveaway. The sketch was really fun! I used some free downloadable paper by The Hybrid Chick. I am slowly venturing into the digital paper. Still figuring out the most frugal way of doing this;) I am also trying to figure out my new Janome Sew Mini. I keep thinking I may send it back. It doesn't have a light source and it isn't the smoothest with stitching. Therefore, I have very crooked stitches. But, it may be something that I keep and then pass on to my daughter to use as she starts to sew....thinking out loud...sorry. Moving on!

Here are the pictures of our camping weekend. We had fun, but it was cold. Our campsite was tucked back in the woods and it was pretty shaded and chilly. Our fire pit had about 3 inches of water that we had to try and drain. Then we ordered wood from the campgrounds and it arrived wet. So, no fire the first night. My mission was to get that fire going the next day because our dinner was to be cooked over the open fire. I personally have never seen wood steam water out of the top and drip or heard it sizzle, but this wood did all of that. We had a lot of smoke and eventually a fire. Dinner was fabulous.

We spent most of Saturday fishing.

Both kids caught quite a few fish. My daughter even got one without a worm on her hook. She had a lucky day! Thanks for sharing in my family fun!

yay! camp pics. i love the batman and barbie (?) fishing poles. too bad about the worms.

this card is great also. i really like the "wonky" stitching and your papers printed really well.

Love the camping pics! We went to a pond on Mother's Day and my dad let Jonathan fish. He baited his own hook for the first time...he absolutely loves fishing! Good luck Saturday!
