Game ON!

 

Did you have a great Super Bowl Sunday?  Did your team win or did you get to just spend time stamping instead.?  I really thought I'd stamp, but I ended up watching most of the game this year.  I'm starting to like football.  My card today is one that was showcased during the PWCO stamp release.  I just know that I am going to use this little football player A LOT.  My son LOVES football.  So I made this for him for his birthday.  I'm WAY ahead of schedule.  This is a side step card that was a featured technique on Splitcoast a few weeks back.  They are super easy to make.  I also got that sentiment from a free digi sponsored by Papertrey designer BETH last week.  

This little guys is supposed to resemble a Notre Dame football player.  When my son was home sick a few weeks ago we watch "Rudy" 3 times.  He decided that he wants to play football for the IRISH someday just like Rudy.  We almost have his IRISH room finished.  Just a few more pictures to hang.

I have one other project using Zach the Football Player.


 This is a Milk Carton that I was going to put M&M's in for the Super Bowl game.  However, I didn't get a chance.  So it may become my little guy's Valentine.  These milk cartons are pretty easy to make.  I used some twill to resemble the white markings on a football, as well as, some football texture paper by The Paper Studio.

Smile....It's Saturday!

To be honest, Saturday has lost some of it's appeal in the last month.  We rush around between both kids' basketball games and tutoring the better part of the day.  No more relaxing in our PJs til noon.  It's still a fun time.

  For the next month Saturdays will be a bit more fun.  I will be showing you some of the projects you can make using PWCO's Februarycard kit.  I'm being honest when I say that I literally jumped up and down in my seat when I saw all the fun patterned papers and embellishments.  All I can say is FUN!  It is just a fun looking kit.  You can get it  for only $11.99 the entire month of February.

Now onto the card:
Everything you see except for the "Smile" and tiny flower sticker, as well as, the glitter all comes in the kit. You can get the SMILE stickers by doodlebug HERE and the glitter HERE.  This card came together so quickly.  Especially since I used this weeks PWCO Sunday Sketch as my inspiration.  It's a pocket card.  I haven't made one in forever.  You still have time to use it today OR you could keep it for future reference.
