The SUN!

I think I see a hint of it for today. I'm so glad that it isn't raining for the football game this afternoon. Our parade got postponed and I was soooo happy. I just wanted to get in my PJ's and "veg out" on the couch last night. Rainy days are perfect for that, aren't they. I fell asleep even before my kids. This morning I feel revived and raring to go! I made TWO cards this morning. However, I am only going to show one today. I decided to try my hand at the MOJO MONDAY SKETCH.

I have had these papers sitting in front of me for a few weeks now. I love the aged look they have. They are from THE DIGICHICK and are called Apple Orchard. (I got it when it was $2:)
My blossoms were stamped twice. I stamped them in Choc Chip and then decided to add some stickles. This caused the ink to run a bit, but I kind of liked it. I cut all those little things out and adhered them partially so that the blossoms curve and it gives it a 3D feel. I also used the TH distress ink to age my Kraft taffetta ribbon. My rounded panels were made with an EK Success large scalloped punch.

On a side note: I would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to Beate Johns. On Thursday she did a wonderful thing for me. She featured my Blog Candy for a Cause on her blog. Just from that exposure alone Priscilla's fund increased by almost $300!!!!! That is amazing. So thank you to her and to YOU who have so graciously donated. We are less than a week away from the drawing. I still have a ways to go to reach the $1000 I am hoping for. Each day we get closer though:) Please leave Beate a sweet comment telling her how wonderful she is if you get a chance.

Wonderful news about Beate! Isn't she precious? I just love how she is sweet all the time! Your card is awesome! Great job on the challenge, and I really do like that DP. Have fun at your game - get some rest this weekend.
