Our family picture
The funny story of the day? You know in this family there always is at least one. This time there are two.
My dad had to go get something in town. He just threw on a tshirt and dress shoes with no socks. The store didn't have what he needed so he had to go to the next town. In the meantime his watch had stopped. He thought he still had an hour before he needed to be at the church. I had to call him to tell him to hurry up. He ended up having to drive straight from the store to the church dressed in a tshirt, no socks, dress shoes and dress pants:) His nice clothes ended up hanging on the closet door the whole day. He wasn't very happy. It will be a funny story to razz him about later though.
Story 2: After everyone had left my husband received a call from his Lieutenant and they were discussing work. I hear him say," Hey Russ, hold on a minute." Then he screams, "Hey!" as he opens the door and I hear the ice cream man going by. He was trying to flag down the ice cream guy. I'm sure the guy on the phone thought," This is who runs our shift? Someone who gets that excited over the ice cream man?!" What's more funny is that when the ice cream man stops my husband tells his lieutenant that he has to go:) Now I have to explain. My husband isn't that fond of the ice cream guy, but my son has been trying to catch the ice cream man for about 2 weeks and keeps missing him. It has become very important around here to get that guy to stop since he drives really fast by our house. It worked yesterday. We can finally resume life as we know it:)
Thanks for listening to my family ramblings today. I hope to be back tomorrow with a Mojo Monday card.
