....You hear the rooster crow. Just heard one and I don't even live in the country. Dang, that rooster's got some pipes! I have a busy weekend ahead of me and I really wanted to get at least one card up today. But first, I wanted to share something. I subscribe to a COLOURlovers blog. I don't usually get to read it. I decided this week to either start reading the posts or to unsubscribe. I read something yesterday that I really thought was worthy of sharing. I love art. When it has a message, it's even more beautiful to me. Do you recycle? I hope you take a minute to click HERE and see how one man is trying to make change by letting us SEE what we do to our world. I hope you can pass this on to someone you know. Art is beautiful. Even in the form of garbage. BTW, I will continue reading this blog.
Stepping off my soapbox to present a card to you. This is for the Mojo Monday Sketch.
I changed a few things. I also used some of my new Verve Stamps.
I just wanted to point out that gorgeous ric rac. It is actually brown and I got it for 50 cents a yard at Joann's. No you can't find it there anymore...I took it ALL:) There wasn't much left. I also got to use my new sewing machine. While it isn't as nice as my old one it works nicely for crafts. One thing I didn't realize when I bought it is that there is no light source by the needle. That could pose a problem. I think I will have to move my location. I want to make a mini purse and that will be the true test of whether I like it or not. I was just so happy to be able to sew a card again. Oh, my flowers on this card are cut out and added with dimensionals and then laquered with Crystal Effects. Here are the details:
Stamps: Floral Symphony( verve), Noteworthy, Sanded (SU)
Ink: Cert. Celery, Tim Holtz Distress ink, Choc Chip, Tango Tangerine
Paper: K&C Co., So Saffron, Cert Celery, Vanilla
Other: Circle Scallop Nesties, distress tool, ric rac, So Saffron Marker, Crystal Effects, dimensionals, flower(The Paper Studio), Orange brad??? Janome Sew Mini
Have a great Saturday!
