Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #3

Happy Sunday! As I type this I can hear the birds chirping. That make mes happy. I am so glad to finally be able to open my windows and let the fresh air in. Yesterday was beautiful here. Got all of our mulch put into place. I'm not sore yet, but that will probably hit later on today....as I'm serving coffee at the school's Ladies Day:) I may have to head over and get a massage at one of the booths. AHHH! Oh YES! You came here for a card and a challenge.

Well here ya go! The Stamptacular Sunday Challenge for today is to use Black and White plus ONE other color. This is what got me on that black and white kick. Head on over to the blog and then make sure you visit each Design Team member and spread them a little love for all their hard work. They have some beautiful samples. I hope you can play along in this challenge. You have until next Saturday to upload your card to an online site and link it back to the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge blog using Mr Linksy. Sometimes he can be difficult...like most men...so keep trying if you have some trouble. He ends up behaving:)

I used several fun elements on my card. That green dotted ribbon just called to me at Walmart. I HAD to get it. You also need to look closely at the black cardstock. It is black embossed with Pretty Petals background stamp. I created the center of my flower using several different punches and then topping it off with pearls. I also used a product called Shimmerz on my flower. This stuff is lots of fun and dries relatively quick. It's hard to see in the photo though:(

Here is a close up of the flower and pearls. I think that my black embossing powder may be going bad. Does that happen? I've been having problems with it becoming dry and flaking off in spots after using my heat gun. I'm going to get some new and see if that is the case. Thanks for visiting me today! Hope to see some of your creations over the week.

I just love that green ribbon. It looks so wonderful against the black and white. And I love how you put the pearls on that stamp. Very clever. The sentiment is the perfect font for this card. The whole card is absolutely adorable!
