Honoring Dear Old Dad

I can't believe that Father's Day is just around the bend. Well, at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are going to give you that little push to make sure you have a card or project all ready for your dad.

Make a card honoring a father, upload it to your blog or online site and link it back to the comments section of Stamptacular Sunday's blog for a chance to win something from our very own DT member Line.

I really wanted to try a new technique using punches that Pine did here. I didn't have a punch for a heart so I pulled out some of my VERY OLD Creative Memories templates and used an exacto knife to carefully cut out my shape. I also used my CM circle cutter to then cut around the heart. I printed out some paper called OUR STORY over at Digichick to put underneath . This is all mounted on a Top Note Die Cut piece of black textured DCWV cardstock. I created my own sentiment tags using various stamps to get the wording I wanted. The heart in the center is chipboard that was "smooshed" in red craft ink. The thing that makes me happy about this card is that I can give this to my dad on ANY day....not just Father's Day.

Hi Nikki. This is a wonderful thing to do. I also send cards to the children at Pay Pal.

Hi Nikki~ I am in love with this card! I like all of the open space it has and it really draws my eye to the shapes. The top note die shape is spectacular on this. Your little heart brads are the cutest. But I think my fave part is the ribbon with the heart brad on it under the tag. AWESOME!
