I can't believe that Father's Day is just around the bend. Well, at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge we are going to give you that little push to make sure you have a card or project all ready for your dad.
Make a card honoring a father, upload it to your blog or online site and link it back to the comments section of Stamptacular Sunday's blog for a chance to win something from our very own DT member Line.
Don't forget to check ALL the design team member's creations this week and leave them a little love. They are located on my sidebar for your convenience.
I really wanted to try a new technique using punches that Pine did here. I didn't have a punch for a heart so I pulled out some of my VERY OLD Creative Memories templates and used an exacto knife to carefully cut out my shape. I also used my CM circle cutter to then cut around the heart. I printed out some paper called OUR STORY over at Digichick to put underneath . This is all mounted on a Top Note Die Cut piece of black textured DCWV cardstock. I created my own sentiment tags using various stamps to get the wording I wanted. The heart in the center is chipboard that was "smooshed" in red craft ink. The thing that makes me happy about this card is that I can give this to my dad on ANY day....not just Father's Day.
EDITED TO ADD: My mistake, the sponsor this week is THE CUTTING CAFE. Also I forgot to list my supplies...oops:)
Stamps: Sweet Chocolate, Oh Baby, Rough Edge Alphabet
Ink: Red Craft, Real Red, Basic Black, Sahara Sand
Paper: Kraft and Sahara Sand DP, Our Story digital, Vanilla, Black
Other: CM circle cutter and templates, paper piercer, chipboard, MM heart brads, Janome Sew mini, SU Twill, sponge
