Red, White and Blue.....Oh, A Star TOO!

My project today is a little decor for my son's room. It is composed of a Paper Mache letter that I got from Hobby Lobby. I painted it blue along the edges before adhering my designer paper. This is paper from Beware of Boy at The DigiChick. The blue on the bottom was stamped with several word stamps in Night of Navy. I decoupaged the papers. My stars are old SU chipboard the was colored with pigment ink. The letters are chipboard stickers, but I don't know who made them.

I created that wavy red strip with my new EK success punch. I love that thing. It's too fun! I used some Making Memories Star trim too. In the bottom corner are several baseball images that I stamped in versamark first and then the dye ink. This allows you to be able to clear emboss each image. To make these a bit sturdier, I stamped them twice and adhered them together. Only one image was clear embossed though. I also outlined the hat with Inkssentials gel pen to make it stand out a bit more. Here is a detailed shot.


This is for my little ball player. He played his last game this week and did an awesome job. It started to pour in the first inning. He has already had 6 rain outs so I was glad they continued playing. He was so dirty when we left. He had a big old smudge of mud above his eye. I told him he looked like a real ball player.

I absolutely LOVE how you did the lettering on the blue. This turned out super cool. Painting scares me! LOL
